Laurie Dugan, Executive Director
Laurie has been serving in the higher education industry since 2006. She has held a number of leadership positions, including Director of Community Outreach and Regional Director of Career Services for Career Education Corporation (CEC). Laurie currently holds the position of East Coast Corporate Alliance Executive for Colorado Technical University; a division of CEC. She works with Fortune 500 companies to build employee engagement through the power of education.
Lyudmila (Lucy) Kovalenko, Director of Volunteer Operations
Lyudmila (Lucy) Kovalenko is a Graduate of the City University of NY - Brooklyn College. Majoring in Finance, with a minor in Chemistry. Her background focuses in Recruiting, and Higher Education. She held a position of Director of Career Services with Career Education Corporation. It is her aim to inspire, enlighten, educate, and mold young minds to give them the opportunity to succeed. She enjoys reading, traveling, exercising, and loves trying new cuisines
Cobi Gantz, Director of Business Development
Cobi is an alumn of the University of Cambridge and the Univeristy of Pennsylvania. He now works full-time at Palantir. Cobi is interested in using technology to provide better educational opportunities for underprivileged students. In his free time, Cobi enjoys playing ping-pong, soccer, and reading.
Sherry (Yingjing) Wang, Finance & Accounting Analyst
Sherry is a native of Shanghai, China. She is a senior at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and is working toward a B.S. degree in Economics with concentrations in Finance and Statistics. Upon graduation, she will join a financial services firm in New York City. She currently serves as the Finance and Accounting Analyst for TutorChatLive. In her spare time, she enjoys being a foodie, practicing yoga and simply chilling with friends. She also aspires to be a global traveler.
Victoria Lin, Analytics Intern
Victoria was born in Texas and grew up in the Boston area. She currently attends High Technology High School in Lincroft, New Jersey. She joined TutorChatLive in 2013 as a volunteer tutor and in 2014 became an analyst on the Metrics team. She is proud to be part of a team whose mission is to promote education amongst underprivileged students. She enjoys working with the team and sharing her passion for computer science and math with students. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing, and playing flute for a community orchestra.
Ogul Uner, Business Intern
Ogul is a sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania majoring in Neurobiology and minoring in health care management and policy. He is a strong educational rights advocate and believes that there should be no barriers prohibiting students from receiving academic help. He has been a part of TCL for 2 years, and has gained a lot of business experience thanks to TCL. Apart from TCL, Ogul conducts research in a physiology lab, plays the flute in the Penn Band and volunteers at the VA Medical Center, the Student Hospice Organization and the American Red Cross. In his free time, he can be found going to a Philadelphia Orchestra concert, reading self-development books or cooking his signature blueberry cheesecake.
Caroline Cianci, Marketing Intern
Caroline grew up in Avon, Connecticut and attended St. Paul Catholic High School in Bristol, Connecticut. She will be attending Syracuse University in the fall of 2015 to study marketing management, but aspires to double major in public relations and minor in Spanish. She was very excited to join TutorChatLive in the spring of 2015 to do graphic designing and marketing for the organization and is also currently running social media for the organization. Aside from TCL, Caroline has a passion for singing, acting, playing soccer, tennis, and reading books.
Hazel Shen, Marketing & Business Intern
Hazel is originally from Brooklyn, New York, but has lived in various parts of California for most of her life. She is currently a senior at Lynbrook High School in San Jose. Hazel was introduced to TCL through a service club at her school and has decided to go further to pursue a closer partnership with TCL. She believes that education opens windows of opportunity that anyone, regardless of their socioeconomic status/background, should have access to. In her free time, Hazel likes to hang out with friends, watch Buzzfeed videos, read (reality fiction is her personal favorite!), and eat lasagna.
